Did you know that market trading is just like a football game? One way I train my students to see market movement is to turn their market into a football game. Let’s call the buyers the “GREEN” team which goes up the field. We’ll call the sellers the “RED” team that goes down the field. Each team is trying to gain territory and ultimately score a touchdown.
When you are being trained to learn who is in control of the ball, you learn who has the greatest likely hood of taking territory (up or down). Just like in a football game, you learn that the team with the ball has a much greater likely hood of gaining ground. The football team knows that they have four downs to gain ten yards, or they forfeit control of the ball. Market trading has exactly the same theme.
I think it’s important for anyone who wants to technically invest or trade in any market, that person needs to decide that a top priority is to learn and understand who has the ball. I personally would NEVER bet money on the defense, thinking that they will score before the team who has the ball. Chances of flipping defense to offense because of an error on the other side are very slim. No one would take that bet, unless they are simply addicted to gambling and love the thrill of betting on long shots.

FACT: “The trend is your friend”. Did you know that the classic definition of an uptrend (green team) is higher highs and higher lows. And the classic definition of a downtrend (red team) is lower highs and lower lows.
